Consulting Services

Evelyn Fielding is a survivor and Minnesota-certified sexual assault advocate who is passionate about coaching survivors and secondary survivors to healing and health. During her time as a crisis advocate, she worked with clients of a variety of ages and gender expressions, always meeting each person’s needs with deep empathy and kindness.

She has a special place in her heart for fellow advocates and non-profit advocacy agencies. Unless front-line people take care of themselves fully, those in crisis don’t receive the very best care when they are most vulnerable.

Confidentiality Statement

Plain language: Evelyn Fielding of Beyond Brave is a coach and advocate, not counselor, psychologist/psychiatrist etc. I do not keep detailed records on paper, electronically, or by any other means. When working with survivors and secondary survivors, I make appropriate referrals to law enforcement, court systems and advocacy agencies.

When working with advocacy agencies and non-profits, I pledge to follow the confidentiality policies of the agency. I do not need to know specific details of cases, survivors, offenders and staff in order to conduct trainings and workshops.

Some of the work I do is in public spaces such as Facebook, Zoom or in-person groups. I create safe spaces and also operate under the reality that disclosure of details is not always appropriate.

I do not work with offenders/perpetrators, even if they are survivors or secondary survivors themselves. There are more appropriate ways to receive counseling, and I make referrals as needed.

I am a mandated reporter under Minnesota law and must comply with those laws. This includes disclosure of violence against children and credible mentions of violence against one’s self or others.

Private, one-to-one conversations via phone or video are the very best way to preserve confidentiality.
