Meditating Isn’t Manly!

Here are some Dad Jokes for you about Chuck Norris:

Chuck Norris doesn’t read. He stares at the book until it gives up its knowledge.

Chuck Norris built the hospital he was born in.

Superman wears Chuck Norris underwear.

Chuck Norris meditates for 10 minutes twice a day.

That last one isn’t a joke. Chuck Norris sits in meditation along with all the martial arts he practices on a daily basis. So, if you think meditating isn’t manly, I encourage you to take it up with him and see who wins.

There are so many social rules about how Real Men are supposed to act, think and feel. Real Men are hard, aggressive, self-centered and in control of everyone and everything. Real Men are allowed to love their spouses and children, possibly their parents and siblings, definitely their trucks and dogs, but would never admit to loving a same-sex friend.

When Real Men have emotions, they don’t meditate. They spend years in the garage or workshop. They drink alcohol and use drugs. They get into bar fights or fights with their loved ones. They work 60 hours a week. They have heart attacks. There are lots of Socially Acceptable ways for Real Men to solve Emotional Challenges.

To paraphrase another paragon of manliness, Jesse Ventura, Real Men ain’t got time to bleed.

So, if you’re a Real Man, you don’t need to check out the Tactical Meditation: Grounding to the Center program. Even though it’s simple and could be a healthier way of solving emotional challenges, just looking at the description might cause you to think differently about what’s socially acceptable and why.

So don’t do it, man. Don’t click the link.
